Access panels for sound insulation and fire protection

Duuri’s access panels provide discreet and practical access to building services, such as plumbing, ventilation and electrical systems. They are designed for spaces where sound insulation, fire protection or a clean finished appearance is required, including bathrooms, wet rooms, service shafts, pipe renovation projects and hotel buildings.

Sound-insulating access panel

The sound-insulating access panel provides easy maintenance access while effectively reducing noise (Rw 31 dB). It is ideal for corridor walls, bathrooms and service shafts, particularly in hotels and pipe renovation projects.

HSL access panel for tiled walls and ceilings

The HSL access panel with gypsum board is suitable for wall and ceiling installations. It is a practical option when the access point needs to blend into a tiled surface. In the two-board version, tiles can be cut to fit flush within the frame, creating a seamless tiled surface. No additional trims or adapter frames are needed. The panel is also well suited for bathrooms and tiled service areas.

HSF3 fire-rated access panel

The HSF3 fire-rated access panel with gypsum board is suitable for wall installations where fire protection and a finished appearance are equally important. It provides EI30 fire resistance, smoke tightness and sound insulation of Rw 38 dB, making it an ideal choice for projects where fire safety, acoustic performance and a high-quality finish are all essential.

Access panels in offices and hotels

Duuri access panels have been used, for example, at Noli Studios – Katajanokka II (pictured: black wall-mounted access panel) and Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport. In hotel environments, access panels must combine functionality with a discreet, high-quality appearance, as technical access points are often located in guest-facing areas. At Clarion Hotel Helsinki Airport, the solution provides easy access to building services while remaining virtually invisible in the finished interior.
